Father's Day

I forgot to put up the pictures of father's day ... so here they are expecially for our great
DADDY!!

(P.S. Yes the letter on my cake are squigly...I did it on purpose and Hannah picked the colors)

Saint-Jean Baptiste Day

So last Saturday was a busy day, after the Strawberry Social at the MFRC we headed into town to look at new vehicles and then home for a brief nap for Hannah & Nathan. We were headed off that evening for St-Jean Baptiste festivities by the river. (For those of you unfamiliar, as I was last year, it is a celebration for the patron saint of French Canadians...The evolution of St-Jean-Baptiste Day from a religious to a nationalist celebration was complete by 1975. In 1976, the Province of Quebec government passed legislation making it the official national holiday of Quebec and an official paid holiday. The name of the holiday was then changed to la Fete Nationale, though many still refer to it as St-Jean-Baptiste Day.) (In Quebec apparently it is more celebrated than Canada Day...but not here!!) Anyway it was a fun outing with some of our French friends... there was prizes for the first 50 people (hence my floral attire), hot dogs & hamburgers to eat, drinks, music, a bonfire and fireworks. The kids had a blast... and both were awake at 11 to see the fireworks go off...it OK though cause they slept in
till 10 am on Sunday.

Strawberry Social at the MFRC

Saturday was the 10 annual Strawberry Social to be held at the MFRC here in Oromocto. We headed out for 9:30 and you should have seen the cars parked along the road side. The place was hoppin. There was pancakes topped with strawberry and whipped cream for breakfast, bounce castles for the kids, musical entertainment, fire trucks, police cars doing road safety with bikes for the kiddies as well as a small business fair. What a feast breakfast was... I felt a little sick after eating so much but it was too good to stop.

More pictures of the Kids!

I just love to color!

I can ride too...or at least I can in my dreams.

Hey who put all this wood under here??

I can help by taking it all out for you!

Biking adventure!!

We took the kids biking the other weekend... what a blast. The trails here are incredible (it is the old train track). We went with our friend Marie-Josee and her little girl Anna, the kids must have been tuckered out by the whole thing because they were all sleeping when we reached the marina (which to our surprise was hosting a dog show). It was Nathan's first real experience with dogs and the first one he meets up close and personal was an enormous Bull mastiff weighing in at 135lbs. Seriously disappointed that I didn't get a picture of it.

Garage Sale

Well since we've decided that we are officially done making babies, we thought we'd have a garage sale to get rid of most of what we have accumulated over the past two and a half years... Seriously didn't think that we had that much baby stuff, but when you have one of each it seems like there is even more. Anyway we made out great, almost $600 worth of sales. (I was suprise with what didn't sell... my maternity clothes, apparently according to Steve I need to weigh a tad more if I wanted to sell it all.) I would like to say a special thanks to Nan and Pop for their countless donations!!!

CFSME 100 year anniversary weekend.

What a change a year makes...Last weekend we attended what I guess we can call our annual volksmarch for CFSME's birthday... (last year we did it even thought I was on limited activity) and this year we had two babies in our chariot... beautiful weather although a little windy at the end (resulting in my hot dog and drink blowing away in the wind). It was an all around good time. We were supposed to attend the mess dinner the night before but decided to go on a date (just the two of us) and not have to compete with anyone else for attention...it was a nice change not having the two kids with us. We definitely need to do that more!!

The kids and I along with our friends David, Melanie and their little guy Felix-Antoine

Hannah picking her favorite flowers....Dandelions

Just a few new pics of the kids.

Hannah picking out what we should make for dinner.

The perfect play to sit and play castle.
Yes this will work just fine!
